Colonel Keith M. Givens is the Vice Commander, Headquarters Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Quantico, Va. He assists the AFOSI commander in the oversight of the command's global operations.

Colonel Givens entered the Air Force in May 1986 as a Distinguished Graduate from the AFROTC program at Slippery Rock University. He was selected for duty as an AFOSI Special Agent and in December 1987, graduated from the US Air Force Special Investigations Academy in Washington, DC.

His first assignment in AFOSI was at Detachment 516, Scott AFB, Illinois. He was transferred to Clark AB, Philippines where he served first as the Chief of the Counterintelligence Collections Branch and then as the Operations Officer from 1989-1991. In 1991, he was selected for his first detachment commander position at AFOSI Detachment 308, Plattsburgh AFB, NY. During this assignment, he deployed as the commander of the AFOSI deployed detachment in Mogadishu, Somalia. In 1994, he was selected as an Air Force Institute of Technology student in Forensic Science and attended George Washington University in Washington, DC. His next assignment was as the Regional Forensic Consultant for Europe from 1995-1998. In July 1998, he assumed the Executive Officer to the Commander, AFOSI position where he served for two years at Andrews AFB, Maryland. In August 2000, he attended in-residence Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell AFB, Alabama. After graduation, he commanded his second detachment and his first Squadron Aviano Air Base, Italy from 2001-2005. He attended National War College in Washington DC in 2005 and then was assigned to Camp As Sayliyah, Qatar as the CENTCOM J2X Forward. From June 2007-December 2007, Colonel Givens served as the Headquarters AFOSI Director of Staff. Colonel Givens was the commander of AFOSI Region 7 from December 2007-May 2010 before assuming his current assignment.
